Chris and Sarah Shotliff first met 20 years ago in their quaint hometown of Henderson, Minnesota. Each went on individual journeys that ultimately led to them playing music together in Texas. With Sarah's family having relocated to Houston, they opened their home up to Chris who had the intention of exploring music in the South. Chris and Sarah's family began writing songs together which led to the formation of their family band, Stump Juice. The music is string-based songwriting with lots of harmonies. Sarah and Chris quickly discovered their musical compatibility and formed, The Great Trumpet as an offshoot. The couple has recently married and moved to the Hill Country where they work for the Kerrville Folk Festival and collaborate with local musicians.
